Lisa Edelstein was an American actor who gained notoriety for her role as the main character of Fox's House medical show. She grew up in Wayne where she was a part of a traditional Jewish tradition. As a teenager, 18 she moved to New York City to study at Tisch School of the Arts. Her performance quickly made her a part of the club scene in New York. The performances she gave were so impressive that the local press took note. She then used her background and fame, as well as her own education to write and perform a show called Positive Me. Then she was employed by MTV to host Awake On The Wild Side. When the show ended, she went on to do film and TV productions. She started with small parts and established herself gradually as an actress.
